The Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals offers a board certification process, including training programs for new graduates to help achieve board certification sooner. Board certification is designed to help our members, as holistic nutritionists, benefit from better recogniton. We provide mentoring, including a distinct business training program with , promotional opportunities and practical experience, once training is complete. CAHN-Pro offers members with the opportunity to be Board Certified in Practical Holistic Nutrition. Such certification helps gain the necessary credibility with potential employers and insurers.
Our mandatory upgrading requirements teach the practical application of holistic nutrition to ensure holisitc nutritionists working in the field stay current with trends and research specific to our industry. It provides our members with the correct methods for documenting their work to produce statistically-valid data that ensures their ability to promote their professionalism.
As a non-profit organization, our goal is to become recognized by the government, insurance companies and other practitioners and promote the value of holistic nutritionists to the public. We plan to accomplish this by conducting essential research to show the undeniable value of our profession and market our the information and our members.
