Research Projects

Awareness and Knowledge Are Power

There is so much food research today and  it can be contradictory and confusing, especially for the consumer. A board certified holistic nutritionist helps consumers find the specific solutions that work for them. Our research projects are all designed to find the best solutions for people who love food and who want the food to love them back in order to enjoy life while maintaining health and vitality.

CAHN-Pro conducts a number of projects in order to help members gain better skills to help their clients and present accurate information to the public. They are taught proper research documentation techniques and must participate in at least, one project as part of their board certification process. The aim is to improve the ability of members to find and understand credible research and use it to find the best solutions for people to change their diet and lifestyle and enjoy a better quality of life.

The Holistic Nutrition Pilot Study on Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes II:

Members work one-on-one with a volunteer Diabetic client to help them identify the issues that are impeding them from making successful changes to their diet and lifestyle. This is  a long term project and will be ongoing until a sufficient number of Diabetics have participated in the project to yield usable data.

WOW! Weight Loss:

One successful pilot study has been conducted and interested members are currently taking their certification training to conduct pilots of their own. The program uses the latest research on body composition to help clients lose weight but it is designed to allow for flexibility for better client compliance.

Perinatal and Pediatric Nutrition Study:

Currently in the meta-analysis stage, this ongoing project seeks to help women have better quality pregnancies and prevent the development of severe  issues such a post-partum depression and excessive weight gain. It also provides women with usable information they can easily adapt into their lifestyles. This project continues after the baby is born to help mother and baby and help parents meet the best nutritional needs for their children as they grow.

Supplement and Food Manufacturing Research Project:

The members who are working on this project are developing an appropriate methodology to help members access the information they need about companies and their products in order to make unbiased and appropriate recommendations to their clients and the public.
